jdotmi: (Just Me)

I played a bit of City of Heroes last night. Upped the difficulty of Kung Ru's missions again. Now they are the second highest difficulty, and yet still not very dangerous. Even against Devouring Earth, who take the least damage from her attacks of any of the villain groups. Her damage is all Smashing, after all.

I did two missions. I'm on a Devouring Earth story arc (The Unity Plague) and even at the second highest difficulty (larger groups of +1s/+2s) it was mostly a breeze. I did start to run low on END when I wasn't really paying attention to it, but that only happened once. I'll probably try one or two more missions at this difficulty and then toss it up to Invincible.

One thing that made this far easier than the last few Devouring Earth missions I did was the reversion of the changes to Boss level monsters. The two red Devoured I had to take out went down much faster than the last time I played. Of course, I still need a couple of levels to get slots for Integration to get my healing factor back where it was, but still. Doing pretty good. Heck, I still have my free respec that I could use to get things back where I need them.

[livejournal.com profile] satyr_mi returned the movies we had rented and grabbed a few more and a game. The new Mortal Kombat game. It looks pretty good. I want to try it out when I get home. I'll be able to play it some tomorrow since tomorrow will be a laundry day and all. Well, actually, I'll probably spend part of it playing that and most of it working on characters for the D&D game I'm running. I want to do stat-block write ups of the major NPCs in town and design a couple adventures for the group to run through, but that's a post for some other time entirely.

Must be nice. My level 6 or 7 Tanker is getting his ass kicked in The Hollows (I didn't know Trolls could leap 2-3 story buildings, so my teleport foe scheme shattered in my face). He is getting quite a few team invites, 'tho, sometimes by people he's already turned down.

Ugh. Hollows. Ugh.

If it's any consolation, I'm a level 31 Martial Arts/Regeneration Scrapper, traditionally known as "That person that literally can't be killed unless they can get one or two-shotted". I just heal damage back far too quickly for that.

I'm thinking of replacing my double Dark Scrapper with something like that, as well. I'm more "brawly" as a playing style than that version allows.

Once I hit 28 I sorta stopped dying as Regen. Prior to that I died a lot. And by a lot I mean I was in perma-debt for a while. :-p

Then I got Instant Healing and all my problems went away. :-p Well, I did die pretty quickly once, but that was because I got critted three times in a row for just less than half my full hp value each time by a Council Boss. :-p
