jdotmi: (Hidden Justice)

So, I did the Ernesto Hess task force in Striga Isle last night with Hidden Justice. Dinged 30 in the volcano, escaped the volcano with my life after we took out Archon Burkholder. Went to visit Luminary in Talos Island and leveled up. Picked up Psychic Scream. May do my respec now and take it earlier in the build just so that I can get my three attacks up and running nicely for when I hit 32 (FULCRUM SHIFT!!!). And so that I can do the three missions I have before me now. Agent Six, Lauren from Icon and the City Representative. SO's, Costumes and Auras!

Well, it's time to start work, so away I go.

Hess is one of the neatest task forces I've been on. And apparently it's even Statesman's fave *g*

Which TFs have you done? I think I've done: Positron (twice), Synapse, half of Sister Psyche, Ernesto Hess, and Manticore.

I've done the first TV Trial, Hess, and Numina. TV and Numina with Kung Ru, TV twice (one failure) and Hess with Hidden Justice.

When the current test server goodies go live, I'll probably try to do the ones I've passed with Hidden Justice.

I forgot about the various trials.

With Dr Freefall (my main, a controller), I've done Posi, Synapse, the first 2 TV trials (3 times really..the first time was a failure), half of Sister, Hess, Manticore, the Sewer Trial and a failed attempt at the Eden Trial right after Issue 3, with its uber-boss changes, went live.

With Mat T (my main alt, a defender), I've done the first TV trial.

With Cheerful Dark (my scrapper), I've done just Positron.

Sewer! I forgot that one! Did that twice with Kung Ru. Failed first time, then we got an Earth Controller to hold the head while we nuked it. But they closed that tactic off I think. :-p

Heh. I forgot that I failed the Sewer trial the first time too. The second time we completed it by using that same thing that turned out to be a bug...the fact that holds went right through the force field. We just assumed that it had something to do with EMP disrupting it or something. I'd read on the boards that EMP seemed to break it. It turned out that all holds were getting through, but it required my grav/rad's EMP (which is, if I remember correctly, the highest mag hold in the game) + AoE hold + single target hold + the holds from 3 singularities to overcome the hydra's magnitude. *g*

The Earth Troller was throwing every hold she had on it. And she was Earth/Rad with perma hasten/am and nicely slotted holds and, well, yeah. She just spam-held it and had it held in about 30 seconds or so.

I probably managed to hold it faster than that, with the sings in the mix. An Earth/rad would have the same number of holds as I do (1 single and 1 aoe from primary, 1 aoe (EMP) from /rad). They do have more secondary controls available (sleep, knockdown, and maybe disorient), but different control types don't stack mag together...each is separate.

Yeah they were just using the holds. I got to be one of the lucky ones nuking the thing. :-p
