So, Issue 5 went live today in CoH. Want to go home NOW and make my sonic blaster and my sonic/sonic defender and my Trick Shot defender...

...

I have to delete characters to make room. x_x That's not so bad. The Blaster is a re-make of Jared Infinity (he was energy/energy). The defenders are going to replace a scrapper I had on there and... er... I dunno if I actually have anyone I can delete... Not ditching my Mind controller...

Hrmm. This is what happens when I'm allowed to make too many alts. :-p

Oh, and I need to respec Kung Ru into her I5 build (which, coincidentally, works fine for how I play her).

EDIT TO ADD:

For those who don't read the Dev Digest religiously, tomorrow they are granting the I5 free respec and a free costume change! As in, your next trip to Icon is free of charge.

So, all those shiny new Archery and Sonic types will get a free respec as of tomorrow, and everyone gets to save a buttload of influence the next time they want to completely change their look.

Ooh, ooh, I was wondering when it would go live. Now I'll have to go home and play around with it.

And tomorrow everyone gets a free respec and a free costume change token (as in, the next trip to Icon won't cost you any Influence).

I5 will usher in an entirely new flavor of "Shiny New MMORPG toy syndrome". That's when big feature updates are made, like new archetypes or subsets, and EVERYONE has to make a new character with those new toys. I saw it big time during the beta of World of Warcraft when they implemented the Hunter class. I can't even imagine how ridiculous it's gonna be in CoH now. Yes, indeed, we're a party of 6 Trick Shot Defenders, oh boy oh boy.

Hence me making my toons, parking them in Outbreak, and going to play WoW instead. :-p

Ok, so is this a free costume change where we can edit an existing costume for free, or the next time we get a new costume (levels 20, 30, and 40), it will be free?

I am hoping its the latter...my new costume for my scrapper was a LOT of influence.

Whatever your next costume edit is, whether it's editing a current costume or editing a new one. If you do an actual costume edit, it'll be free.
