I've been reading the new Supergirl series. Just got issue 3. They sure are taking their time releasing them. :-p Looked at the solicits for future issues. Interesting to note that issue 8 is Post-Infinite Crisis already. Should be interesting. Speaking of, I picked up issue 2 of Infinite Crisis. I should probably try to find issue 1 now. :-p Basically, the book was a whole lotta backstory telling us everything we already knew about Power Girl but she didn't remember herself. Well, until she got all touchy feely with Lois and morphed into Hillary Clinton for a panel. o_o Seriously, she aged like 25 years in that one panel. It was CREEPY! Then she shoved her boobs into Superman's crotch. That was even creepier.

I also picked up Four and Twenty Blackbirds by wicked_wish. I have a signed "original" copy from the mad pirate days, but this is the more authentic deal now. Just gotta pry myself away from Smallville and Civ IV long enough to finish reading it!

I actually haven't been paying too much attention to it's release. I picked up #2 because it was at Borders when I was getting other things. I've been doing most of my catching up via Wikipedia and forums.

God I hate that series, it's so poorly written and very badly disguised attempt to cash in on cheesecake.

Actually every non-villain in DC has decided to beat up on her. ;) They just forget that she's STRONGER THAN ALL OF THEM.

And her boobs are SCARY. She's going to put someone's eye out with those things. Her evil self will probably do that to Lex shortly. :-p She looks way better in black, anyway.

I actually don't mind the writing. She's not the pre-crisis Supergirl. She's 15 years old. :-p What are you expecting, deep and introspective? :-p I actually quite enjoyed Grace in this last issue with her very scathing comments on Kara's Olsen-twin figure. :-p

I can't wait til Supergil #8. I wanna see her and PG be all non-powered and try to be badass in Kandor. I'm hoping that PG sticks around in her title for a while to serve as a big sister, because PG is just far too cool. (But her shoving her boobs into Kal-L's crotch in that one panel of IC#2 was just... icky.)

Not to mention her concave stomach, or the fact that she runs around in a belt for a skirt? God I feel old.

I am eagerly awaiting the Kandor dynamic duo, I must say. There's also talk of Supergirl in Legion of Superheroes in the upcoming issue of legion, but I'm not sure it'll be the same supergirl. I think there were some rumors about that being a descendant, which could mean they'll try to sneak a new Valor/M-onel in (in case you haven't noticed, I'm a legion fanboy since Legion v.3 or something like that. Valor was their resident Kryptonian/superman guy).

"Legion of Super-Heroes" will be retitled "Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes"

As to whether or not it will be Kara Zor-El or someone else I have no idea. They aren't saying yet. :-p

I always take things on wikipedia with a grain of salt, especially when it comes to contemporary events, since they're likely to be based on rumor half the time. I know there's going to be a supergirl in the legion, I've seen the cover for it, however, I doubt Mark Waid would let it go as Supergirl and the Legion of Superheros for long.
