So, on tonight's Smallville, Clark talks to Chloe about his lack of a sex life since getting his powers back. This leads to the discussion many have wanted to see, but none want to admit curiosity about. And it leads to this exchange:

Clark: It's not funny!
Chloe: No, you're right, it's not. It's just that this converstation definately cements me as your Krypto-hag.

Why, yes, I will be watching.

Wouldn't a "Super" ejaculation kill his partner in bed? I would think it would be like a bullet.

That's the reigning theory in fandom, although canon seems to indicate this isn't the case. In several futures, he and Lois have had children after all. He also has a lot more control over his body than a human does, so it's possibly just a control issue.

Of course, an orgasm is an orgasm, and nobody is really in control of their faculties the instant one hits.

Superman has "Super-control!" Actually, the "Man of Steel, Women of Kleenex" theory has never been accepted by most Superman fans. We like to think our hero could someday settle down with Lois and have kids (and have seen several possible futures for him where that was the case). The idea that Lois getting a suntan while pregnant could lead to the kid getting superpowers is another common theory as to why Superman shouldn't be getting to cozy with Lois.

I'm looking forward to the episode. :)

Yeah. There's really no good storytelling reason for them to not be able to do anything. Well, maybe in slash fiction or something, but despite all the slashy (sub)text in the show, it really isn't slash. :-p

That scene was hillarious. I think he was more worried about frying her with heat vision or crushing her arms or something, but still. "Please don't make me finish that sentence."
