Hopefully after they merge, they will not cut the good shows, though the only reason I ever watched UPN was tha fact that they showed shows like Friends, The Simpsons, and Everybody Loves Raymond in syndacation. And the only good thing\ going for the WB IMO is Smallville, so hopefully they won't cnacel it (becaue they would be screwing themselves if they did). We can just cross our fingers and hope for the best :-).
Smallville is pretty much guaranteed to stay. It is one of the shows mentioned specifically by name in the article and press releases. Syndicated shows will probably stay, but they'll have the worst timeslots ever. This really is more than likely going to boost viewership of all of the mainstays of both networks overall, since there will be less competition on the timeslots.
