Ragnaros Dies in a Fire My guild alliance took down Rags for the first time in my raid (MC3 in our naming)! 10/16/06

Gratz on that. It's an accomplishment that always gets put-down by other guilds raiding everything past MC, but that's because they forget what it was like spending the hours learning the encounters. It's still a critical achievement, hands down, as it paves the way to everything beyond.

And gratz on your headdress. Hopefully you'll win yourself a pair of antlers soon. ;)

Well, I can see why guilds who have MC on farm status may just roll their eyes at it. It is not a difficult fight by any stretch of the imagination. Honestly, Shazz is a much harder fight than he is, he just takes longer.

We did everything up to Rags in one night and gave Rags one attempt Sunday night. Then we did Domo and Rags again last night and got Rags on our second attempt. All in all, it took us 5 attempts over two weeks to take him down. And we have one-shotted every other boss in MC now.

Oh yeah. Domo's a harder fight. My guild took Domo down on their second attempt, and for kicks, we tried Rag after that just to see how'd we fare. One-shotted. We don't usually have any trouble with either boss these days but some of us still feel antsy about Domo, just because people don't like the number of mobs to deal with.

Now if we could only put as much effort into dropping Ossirian in AQ20. Not that we need his loot, but it would be nice to finally say "we did it!"

We usually have 5 or 6 warriors and 5 to 8 mages, so the Elites/Healers are a cinch. Sheep all the healers, kill one elite, kill the healers one by one, kill the other elites. We take the three tanked Elites off to the corner/cubbyhole and make sure the warriors aren't getting cleaved then leave everything else to wander about in a sheepy/piggy daze.

Last night was actually a bit hairy. The druids had to chain-rez one another to keep the rest of the raid alive on Domo cuz we kept getting tossed into the fire pit and the priests were a wee bit busy with the tanks.

I'm not even remotely ready for BWL yet. :-p I need a lot more FR and a lot more of my Tier 1 before heading in there.

Yup Yup. Your alliance folks are nearly ready, though. :D If you can down rag, you can probably get Razorgore.

It's Vaelstraez who is the next hurdle.

I *heart* that Vael fight. The first time I did and was non-stop casting heals on the designated tank, before he went esplode, omg, SO FUN. And then I got burning adrenaline, luckily while she was below 20%. So off go 12 Hammers of instant WRATH. Wheee!

I can only imagine what it's like being like, a warlock and getting BA. Instant unlimited shadowbolts. Such a fun fight.

Actually the Alliance as a whole is ready and actually going in tonight I believe. They had a regular BWL raid, but it sorta fell apart due to a guild leaving and not enough resists.
