Relief at last?

So, we may have had good news last night. Well, we probably had good news last night, but I think we'll find out today. Well, satyr_mi will find out this morning. Either way, it's all good.

Have to pay rent tomorrow. Blah.

Hmm. What else to write about. Well, there is the constant WoW posting (tonight is going to be my first Onyxia run), but I didn't actually do anything exciting yesterday in the game, so not really worth posting about. I do need to go pick up comics soon. Maybe Friday morning, although I work at Booth on Friday. We'll see how things go. I know that the new issue of Supergirl is out. And maybe I'll set up a pull list. We'll see.

Work is starting to pick back up as the holiday season ends. It's not technically over (we have a week or two left), but this is traditionally when things start to calm down.

Okay, I need caffination. Badly.

You actually like Supergirl? That title is perpetually on the chopping block for me. I just keep hoping that it'll actually start making sense, so I hold on.

It's actually getting really good. It makes plenty of sense to me, but maybe that's just because I think I know what's going on in her head (it's one of those "she doesn't really remember what she thinks she remembers" things). I didn't like the artwork in issue 11 at all, though. The overall storyline, while indeed a bit convoluted, is pretty clear. You've got a Kryptonian girl who has had her reality completely shattered at least six times in what feels like the last three years to her and she's attempting to work through the fallout.

Explosion 1: Krypton go boom. Kara goes to Earth.
Explosion 2: Kara gets brainfried by Darksied.
Explosion 3: Kara gets split in two by Luthor, and may or may not remember her true past now.
Explosion 4: Infinite Crisis (including the death of Superboy).
Explosion 5: 1001 Years Later...
Explosion 6: Back to the Present...

And Explosion 7 appears to be looming with something of a resolution regarding her origin. The entire "Is she a Good Girl made to think she was Bad, or a Bad Girl made to pretend she is Good" question (which has been dragging on for way too long).

The Kandor storyline is the big culprit in my dislike really. Now, I know that OYL is supposed to be mysterious, but that "plot" made zero sense. It was a confused mess really.

Well, the Kandor arc was started in one issue by one writer, who then left the title, and was finished by the next writer, who tied it up in one issue and seems to have no interest in revisiting it. Hence the bizzareness.

Although, Kara did spend time in Kandor 1001 years later... so... who knows.
