All moved in

The move is over! Well, other than one vacuum sweep of the place, which satyr_mi will be doing today once he's able to walk again. I left my old keys with him to turn in to the office and everything.

Tonight, I get to go through the HUMONGOID pile of clothing that has piled up on my bedroom floor so that we can get it put away and thus begin tackling the insanity that is the boxes scattered about the apartment and in our closets. winterlady even agreed that our new place looks tiny when you get all of our boxes of crap in it. :-p We so need to reduce the amount of crap we've just kept for various reasons.

In more consumerist whore news, our shiny new 20" widescreen flatscreen monitors arrived yesterday! They're very shiny. I'll post WoW screenshots from them at some point this week. The resolution on these things is awesome. I need to dig out my Sims stuff and take a look at it as well on these. It looked pretty sweet on Keith's, so I can't wait to play it on mine. :)

Things I have left to do that are move related: Take a copy of the lease (which I now have) to Consumer's Energy and convince them that I do indeed live there and would they please transfer the gas into my name? Go to AAA and change my address with them (and on the Renter's insurance policy). Go to the Secretary of State and change my address there.

Well, time for me to get to work so that I can pay such silly things as "rent" and "the phone bill" and do such wacky things as "buy groceries".

About the AAA thing - have you tried changing your address online? I think you can.

Not sure I can move the Renter's insurance online, though. I'll give it a shot when I get home tonight, though.

Congrats, and glad I could help. I considered coming up last weekend, as well, but since tuesday left me sore until friday night, I decided I'd rather be fresh for this week's very physical IT job. Yeah, I'm one of the deployers on the rollout team, on the factory floor itself. The whole complex is huge (about a mile end to end) and mostly 2 sprawling maze-like buildings, so it's a great deal of walking, climbing stairs (elevators are worse than useless here, one even has no lights), and carrying lotsa stuff. At least it pays quite well.

It's all good, we got everything done! And you do need to be able to move for paying work, after all. Sorta more important. ;)
