Looking Up

Good phone call today on lunch. Makes me feel better.

Too much Sims 2 last night, though. I reinstalled a neighborhood I made and started playing them some more. Then I flipped back to Pleasantview and decided to play them instead.

I wound up going to bed stupidly early again last night (8:45ish) but didn't wind up falling asleep until 10.

Getting a shopping list together for Friday. Ugh. Not only is it groceries, but it's some cleaning supplies this time. Which means it's going to wind up being more than I want to spend again. Ah well.

I want to play the sims2 again. But I just.. can't... I don't know why. Every time I load up a neighbourhood I feel like there's nothing to do.

I get that way sometimes. This last expansion helped, even though I don't go on vacations that much. Heh.

Ok, best and cheapest cleaners.

Vinegar - plain simple white vinegar. dilute in spray bottle with water. Will clean and disinfect. Cleans better then most spray cleaners I have used.

Baking Soda - Great mild abrasive. make a paste with water. Then scrub with a sponge or rag.

The Vinegar cleaner can also be used on glass.

My cheap solution for paper towels. Take those ratty t-shirts, undershirts, etc. If not clean wash them. Cut them into squarish pieces. Great for cleaning if doing windows use a lot of them for best results. When dirty just wash and dry.

If you want to make the chrome in your home shine the key is Rubbing Alcohol. After cleaning is done. Take a clean dry cloth. Put rubbing Alcohol on it and rub the chrome. It will sparkle.

We actually have a few rag towels for cleaning. And most household cleaners are doing okay, but we need dishwasher detergent. That's the main cleaner we need to buy.

We LOVE the tabs oh so much! I'd be find with plain ol powder if it winds up cheaper, but those things do a really good job of cleaning.

Reading posts like this makes me wish I still had Sims installed on my computer.

Me too! You can use terrains you make in SimCity 4 and import them for neighborhoods in Sims 2. Hmm. We need to get you addicted to it... ;)

I was a complete downloading fiend in Sims 1. Not as bad in Sims 2, though. I have a few mods that I use constantly, but I don't wind up putting a lot of custom content in. I can sit for hours and play, though, which is a problem when I'm actually trying to be productive! heh.

CrammyBoy's mod is in my game, as well as an updated version of his Nudist hack that was put together by a person on the MATY forums. Hoping he comes back sometime in the future to update his stuff, but at least someone has been working on it.

Bah all that Sims talk is a waste of time. Get thee to killing Demons and Zombies forthwith! :)

Ack! No wonder the demons have made such headway of late, our defenses are weakened! :)

They took down the Alpha servers, migrated all the characters to the Beta servers yesterday. Seems to be much less laggy, and appears to be running more smoothly as well. I think they did some major network optimizations as well.

The highest character I have is just level twelve, a Marksman. I think that's going to be my main class, just like the run-and-gun playstyle. Am going to give my Summoner some play time soon, he's only level five or six at the moment. They could be interesting as well.
