jdotmi*sigh* Heroes needs to make up it's mind. It's having Sophmoritis. The best storyline in last nights episode was Monica's, in all honesty. Everything else was just kind of blah. I'm over the Claire/West storyline. Yeah, it was cool to see the head cheerleader get put in her place, but the Secreth and Lieth story between her and her father? Where have I seen that before....
Mohinder is a complete moron, but Bob may not be pure evil. I don't think he's the grey-good that HRG is, but he's clearly got something of a conscience. He was very very kind to Monica in the end, which of course means that after she gets all the moves off that iPod he's gonna come calling for favors, but he also sees she's a good kid and wants to genuinely help people. Like he said, her neighborhood looks like it could use some extraordinary.
Jessica is clearly out and about now, which actually makes me happy because we may see something fun now. I'm curious as to whether or not Niki, Jessica, and DL hatched a plan to get at Linderman's company for what he did to them or if Niki really was going to be cured of her MPD. We already know, just from the finale last season, that Jessica got what she really wanted for Niki. Niki is strong now without Jessica. I think they both realize, though, that they need Jessica to be able to do the things that Niki can't.
Peter's got a good storyline, but give him back his fucking memory already. AmnesiaPete was old after the first full episode he was in. Caitlin better not die, or better pop up with a power of her own, because if they pull another Simone on us I will be ticked off. Simone was awesome, but they offed her anyway.
Hiro's story, in all honesty, is boring me right now. I'm more into Ando's story, which is just him reading Hiro's story. I would much prefer the Matt/Nathan/MamaPetrelli story, because it's actually a story that is compelling and keeps me wanting to know more. We get to see Hiro fuck with history, which will likely remain largely unchanged and history will remember Kensei as a Hero, regardless of whether the character is a hero or villain in the present. And, seriously, not caring.
The Maya/Alejandro/Sylar story was short this week, but it had some good hits. And I mean that in the girlfight that Alejandro and Sylar had. Not the CreepySylar confession later. Sorry, but Sylar has lost all his teeth this season. Even if he gets his powers back and starts offing heroes again, he's just not interesting anymore. It's a classic case of keeping a Big Bad past it's expiration date. If he had genuinely decided to repent he would have been interesting.
So, this season, the storylines I care about so far are Matt/Nathan/MamaPetrelli, Micah/Monica, Jessica/Niki, Peter/Caitlin. Last season I liked all the storylines, so this is a definite change for the show.
Played some City of Villains last night. Got Kalleesta up to 38 so now she has Fluffy! Did some Trick or Treating after, but it's slow going since she doesn't have a lot of badges left to get. She's got to get the Spirits and Werewolves and that's it I think. Maybe the Vampires. And the Giant Monsters. And the new badges from this year. Okay, so she ahs a lot of badges left, but she got the costume slot already and it's been slow as hell to get costume salvage drops for her.
Tested all three of my big guns on the Training Room to make sure they would all have access to the Flashback system. They do. Kung Ru has it because she's done every story arc and badge mission so far. Hidden Justice has the badge about the Rikti Ambassador or some such (there's time travel involved in it, so yeah). Kalleesta, of course, fought the time travelling Doctor about seven billion times already, so of course she has it. The system is fun. Being autoexemped into fetus-level and looking at three full bars of greyed out powers? HILARIOUS! Time to break out the temp powers, people! Kung Ru got the Isolator badge on test. It took for freakin' EVER. But it's done and all is well in the world. I may go back to test and try out some flashbacks, but I don't want to do it all on test and then not want to do it again on Live. You know how it is.
Well, getting back to work now. Since, ya know, it took me an hour to write this and post it due to actually doing said work. :-p

Overall it's really starting to lose the edge that it had, and I'm hoping that they didn't expend everything in the great first season.
And again, I wish that I could get into CoX. I even have my account still open till sometime in November, but just can't get into it. :( I need more loot-whoring I think, and it looks like Hellgate (picking it up in an hour!) is probably going to feed that itch for a while.
