Direct to DVD! Filming is done even! And if it does well enough another season of the series is not out of the question...
No Rube, though. And Daisy got recast since Laura Harris was unavailable due to being in Women's Muder Club now. And apparently no Clancy, either. But everyone else is in it. :)
I don't have the DVD yet, but I watched the first three episodes as they aired. We loved it ever so much! There is a lot of Wonderfalls in DLM and a lot of DLM in Wonderfalls. And a lot of both in Pushing Daisies, which I'm very happy has been renewed and am very sad that we have to wait until fall to see more.
Frankly, I don't watch much telly. When I do, if I find a show that I like, it inevitably gets canceled.
I watched a couple of episodes of "Pushing Daisies" and then realized it was a decent show, and promptly stopped watching and vowed to wait for the DVD, because otherwise my strange mojo would kill it prematurely. It may already be too late.
Alas, this does not work in reverse. I have tried faithfully watching dreck and crap, solely in hopes that my show-killing powers would kick in like V-Tech (as the meme goes), and, to my annoyance, those shows last for nine or ten seasons without fail.
Pushing Daisies got a full season pickup, but the writer's strike put the kibosh on that due to the time and money it takes them to ramp up to film more episodes for this season. It has been confirmed as renewed for next season, though, which makes me very very happy.

Have you watched Wonderfalls yet? If you haven't, you NEED to. It is by the same folks as DLM.
