The test server for City of Heroes/Villains was updated yesterday and a lil gem got loose. The current pricing for buying extra character slots. The only one that matters is the $20 for 5 slots. 5 slots on any server (not all servers). Each server can hold a maximum of 36 slots. They also hinted that Vet Rewards will include slots (hopefully they retroactively insert them into some of the more lackluster vet rewards, I'm looking directly at you boxing outfits and costume piece only rewards) and they were going to do a big 4 year anniversarry announcement (the 28th is the official 4 year anniversary). But today they'll release as many details as possible due to the early hit on Test.

I see myself buying 10 slots for Virtue. Well, 5 at the least. And a similar amount for satyr_mi. I mean, I'm totally full on there, and I want to make a Blood Widow. And I only have a Peacebringer on Pinnacle because Virtue is so full. And we can pad out Luna Incognito and then I can delete alts I'm not going to play.

Edit: Well, won't have to buy any to start. 2 free slots for all current subscribers and 1 slot per year of Vet rewards. I've got 3 full years of vet rewards already, and 4 will hit in August for me since I took a few months off a year ago.

Not sure what I think of that. I tend to think that's a little excessive for 5 slots. I do not value each char at $4 a piece. Hell I'm lucky if I value them at anything...

I hated the fact that the wedding costume pack even cost anything, nevermind the $9 it did.

Maybe it's because it is all just a game to me.

Oh, one thing I know you'll like is you can rearrange your character order now by drag and drop.

Yeah. The only other game I've played that let you "buy" extra slots made you pay per slot per month. And you only had 1 slot to begin with there. -_-

When is Issue 12 going live? A friend just sent me a referral invitation so I'll probably reactivate tonight and see what's going on in there now.

It's been in closed beta for a week. So it's not likely to hit live for another 3 to 5 weeks. And this is a tiny closed beta, so it may be longer.
