I can haz Guitar Hero?

So, like, my state tax refund posted yesterday. Technically it did on Tuesday, but I didn't check for it until yesterday. So, as I sat there staring at a number in my checking account I haven't been acquainted with in YEARS, I said to myself "Self, you are going to get your ass out to a store and BUY YOU SOMETHING WITH YOUR FREAKIN' REFUND!!!"

And, lo, I did.

It didn't take much to convince satyr_mi to get out of his jammies at 8 at night and drive down to Best Buy in Ann Arbor where the Gods of Best Buy smiled upon us once again* and we picked up the big box o' Guitar Hero III (with it's wireless guitar) for $89 instead of $99 as the display it was on still had the old price tag beneath it and we pointed it out to a helpful supervisor at the store who confirmed with the cashier that we were indeed entitled to said cheaper price because of the inability of staff at the store to properly remove old price signs.

We also picked up a copy of Bully: Scholarship Edition for the Xbox360 because satyr_mi wanted the new content and doesn't want to play it on the PS2 (which we have the original version for) because, well, we have the 360. We should lend the old one to his sister so she can decide if she'll let her son play it or not. He's 12 (or thereabouts). So yeah.

And now, I work!

*: Once upon a time, we got a full version of Windows 98 for the price of an upgrade at the same store because the box had the wrong price tag on it. We did about four double takes that day before putting down the upgrade box we had picked up and replaced it with the full version box. Yeah. That was a long time ago.

Hee. We got there, Keith looked at me, and joked "Can we get WoW timecards?" :-p I'm giving myself one month. :-p Then if we're still caught back up I'll be back in WoW land. ^_^

I bought that at X-mas with a gift card for Best Buy that my Mother gave me, and then returned it. After renting it from Blockbuster I realized playing it too much would wreck my destroyed back, ugh, and noise is one thing that bothers the wife so I figured it'd best not to have that game lying around here.

So far I do! I can totally see how having a bad back would make that a very very bad game to play. You can get through most of it without twisting the guitar, but not any battles. I play sitting down, so standing's not much an issue for me. ;)
