Bad LJ habits

I have this very very bad LJ habit.

I look at guy's LJ icons (particularly self portraits) in community posts and on my friendsfriends page and say to myself "Yep, he's gay!"

What makes this a bad LJ habit, you ask?

I'm. Never. Wrong.

I have LJ-dar!

I was going to say that maybe it's that all of the male LJ-ers that have self-portrait icons are gay. But, then I remembered...


...but I like "LJ-dar". More catchy than my "straight-but-not-narrow-dar" at work the other day.

hehe. Well, see, it helps that because I have so many gay people on my friends list that my /friendsfriends page is thus populated heavily from that same subset. But, still, I can spot them in the WoW and City of Heroes communities with no effort, too.

The funny thing is that I think I really do have gay-dar, to a degree, and yet do not lean that way myself. All my friends said my whole life I should be gay, mannerisms, etc., but I could never really find that in me.

I always wished that I did, that way I doubled the number of people that would ignore me and turn me down! :)

How inaccurate is your IRL-dar? Because wouldn't that correlate to your LJ-dar?

My IRL dar is pretty good, too. It quacks up a storm at the appropriate time!
