The benefits of new toys

So, satyr_mi saved up and got himself an iPod Touch. Since he had the new shiny, I got his old Nano that he got for Christmas a few years ago. Now I can listen to my own music without annoying everyone at home instead of having to listen to everyone else's music all the time.

And now I'm at work with a lot of my own music, some of which I haven't really heard in years. This makes me quite happy now.

There seems to be some sort of karmic conspiracy with regards to my available technology -

I either have a working laptop, or a working portable music player - but lately not both at the same time.

winterlady made it so I can haz laptop, so gremlins ate my mp3 player. Go figure.

But the "quite happy with own music thing" always rocks - I even almost haz my mp3 collection properly organized (via the mac - very uber). 2813 songs down, and another thousand or so to wade through. Try putting your entire collection on "shuffle all" and just let it go. I often wonder if anyone else is as amused by the results as I am... =)

That's pretty much what I'm doing at work today. I took the musical soundtracks out of the playlist and just loaded it up with the albums I've ripped so far (I'm missing a lot of them right now). So far, it went from Savage Garden to Medieavael Baebes to Dido.

Oh, and and and you can get car adapters for the nano and blast it in the car (if you were somehow by yourself in the car).

Ipods rock! I love my shuffle. I use it mostly when I'm learning lines or a song for theater or when I travel.
