Supposedly the roads were really bad this evening for driving on. I did not find this to be a problem. We took back roads to get home, but they weren't bad. We did see a traffic backup at one road, but not in a direction we had to travel. The highway did look pretty heavily congested, but it looked to me moving slowly.

Ah well. Took a little longer to get home, but didn't have to try to keep up with morons on the highway. Can't complain much about that.

In less happy news, the new downloadable content for Dragon Age that was supposed to come out today has been delayed. This does not make me happy.

At 2:30pm, 23N was closed between 8 mile and M36 because a semi truck had been on fire on the bridge over M36. It took me over half an hour to get from the N Territorial exit to the 8 mile exit where they were shunting everyone off--and that's taking the quick way, having gotten off at Barker road and going thru whitmore lake. When I passed the exit ramp, the moving truck I'd been sitting behind before I got off was about a quarter mile back from the exit ramp, and they were only getting two or three cars off the ramp at a time. It was crazy. There were 7 fire trucks at the accident when I went past.

Likely, everything was a little congested for the rest of the day because of it. I went through there again around 6pm and 23N was moving a little slow, but not at a dead standstill anymore thank goodness.

I did see some spectacular acts of road rage and douchitude though.
