Vacation!

So that's what sleeping in feels like? Of course, sleeping in meant I got up at 8 instead of 6:30, but hey. Of course, in order for that to happen I wound up staying up until 1:30, so yeah. Not really sleeping in. :-p

Today I'm going over to my Mom's (aunt's) to make dinner for the family. Seeing as how I promised them all I would come over while I was on vacation to do so. We're going to be making Penne Alfredo with Chicken and Brocolli.

So, the chocolate cheesecake cookies are good, just not right. They taste a bit powdery. Too much cocoa, and maybe too much chocolate in general as they didn't taste very cheesecakey. Have to fiddle with that recipe some.

Think I'm gonna go abuse some Sims while I wait for laundry to go.

The chocolate cheesecake recipe I use calls for melted choc chips, cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk--maybe you could go in that direction?

I basically added melted chocolate chips and some cocoa powder to the recipe for Savannah Cheesecake Cookies (although I use walnuts instead of pecans). It's not a full on cheesecake type flavor normally. It basically came out tasting like a dense chocolate mousse, which isn't bad, it's just not cheesecakey. Heh.

I may have to try that one, though. Just need to bring it down to the smaller size for the cookies.
