01. your live journal "user name" & what it means:
The letter "J" the common way to say the punctuation mark "." and my state of residence. My initials are J.D. and that is what I go by, so, of course, I got called "J-dot" all the time by my family.

02. on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) how well does your livejournal represent who you actually are?
5 to 8. I can be a very different person online than offline, but a lot of my inhibitions I lose when I go online are starting to diminish offline as a result.

03. how much about your life do you post to lj?
About half of it. Usually stuff with high emotional value to me as well. That can be problematic because I have hurt someone unintentionally in the process now and then.

04. is there anything you refuse to post about?
Not really, but you may not be able to read it.

05. on a scale of 1-10 how interesting do you think your own journal is to others?
Can I put a negative number in?

06. from who/how did you find out about lj?
scyllz got one, and then conned a good portion of fourth_wall into joining. The Fourth Wall is my online gaming guild.

07. has anyone ever joined lj because of you?
Yuppers.

08. what proportion of your posts are friends only?
about 20% or so.

09. what is your favorite interest on lj?
Just to be a dork, I'll say wilwheaton.net

10. has anything on lj ever caused you to establish, rethink, or even change your belief or position on something?
yes

11. how often do you respond/comment on other peoples journals?
I try to on a daily basis

12. do you prefer to write in your journal, read other journals?
I love reading. I read anything that is printed just about it.

13. have you ever had something mean said to you or been stalked, harassed, or got into an argument/flame war on lj (or did it to someone else)?
Some random freak from Puerto Rico thought I was anorexic somehow when I was on this big weight-loss kick. I'm almost 300 pounds. I'd have to be 12 feet tall to be anorexic at 300 pounds. Freakzoid. ~_~ And roleplayers has far too frequent flame-bait for me.

14. have you ever banned someone from your journal?
I think the random guy who thought I was anorexic got banned. And I blocked a couple IP addy's before I turned off anonymous postings.

15. who are your favorite lj friend(s) and why?
kageneko needs no explanation. Well, ok not from my point of view but maybe to everyone else. I'll just say if I were female, I'd be her. eligrrl is just a total evil bitch from hell (kidding!). She's also one of my best RL friends. nofunk81 is another one of my good RL friends, and vastly amusing to read. And talk to. And harass but hey, that's what friends are for. And labile is just so far beyond incredibly talented as both an artist and a writer that she just awes me.

17. of all of the people on lj you know of, who is the most like you?
satyrmi and kageneko

18. why are you most likely to add someone to your friends list?
Because they sky was blue that day. Actually, if you write something and I read it and find it interesting I start watching your journal. If you continue to be interesting, I add you.

19. do you automatically add friends to your journal if they add you first?
Sometimes, but not always.

20. what is the most likely reason you wouldn't add someone to your friends list?
My friends only posts can be very... disturbing to some and will contain things some people don't ever want to hear about. Some of it I don't ever want to hear about. But, alas, it is there. I sometimes avoid adding someone who I'm not sure how they would respond to those kinds of posts. Despite evidence to the contrary, I don't like randomly freaking people out. I just like freaking out the people I already hang with.

21. is your "significant other" on lj?
Well, my former significant other is, but he never posts anything.

22. have you ever wanted to meet someone on lj?
Oh god yes... For many varied reasons. And sometimes for very specific non-verbal reasons. Various examples from different categories include gaelis, kageneko, blackbook2 (not that he ever posts anymore), livininoz (once more with non-postage), bladednightmare, and everyone in fourth_wall
