jdotmiSo, I've been reading my friends page, reading everyone's Halloween misadventures and whatnot. All I can think of is "Gee, I didn't do anything for Halloween..."
Stayed home from work yesterday. Was not the most mobile of people in the morning, but was fine by the afternoon.
Did some grocery shopping with Keith. Lots of. $160 of. Yeesh. Bought some cooking spray, which I wanted. Bought some olive oil, which Keith wanted. Bought some rice. This is very good. See, I bought a bunch of Lipton Rice and Sauce packets a while back, and they are good, but I need to dilute them a bit. So, I figure adding my own rice to the mix will be a bonus. Especially if I cook it with chicken. Everything I cook tends to be with chicken...
Chicken Cordon Bleu. Mmmm. Bought some of that too. Bought soda, shredded cheese. Need more shredded cheese... I used the mozzarella that I bought already. Can't really make my pasta bake dish without more. Well, I can. Probably should. Although, I only have one jar of sauce left for it. Ok I know we bought more stuff than that but I cannot think of anything else... Philadelphia cheesecake snacks. There we go. Something else.
So, the never-ending cleaning project has begun. We sorted out most of the White Wolf books and got them on the bookshelf they belong on. The D&D books will be in my room. And we have a couple bookshelves to go through and sort out yet. Well, those mostly have non-gaming books on them. We seem to have misplaced a small handful of gaming books along the way, though. We didn't find the Satyr book in the cleaning spree.
Ok, disclaimer, the beginning of the cleaning spree did not accomplish much. It just made it easier to step over the piles of books in the dining room/living room. I think it would take several trips to the dumpster to actually accomplish anything, however.
I reinstalled The Sims yesterday! Hoorah! Getting everything put back in before I actually fire it up, though. Re-downloaded and re-installed Anarchy Online as well. My graphics problem with it is not gone, however. It is greatly reduced, though, and looks like it might be playable. Had to reactivate my account to test it out. Not sure if that was smart or not. Reinstalled Diablo 2 and LOD. Tried playing. Stupid fucking hackers were knocking everyone offline though. Lines were short to make games, but they existed. I decided to stop and do something more constructive, like, oh, watch my fingernails grow.
We were able to get the laptop online on the wireless network yesterday while my PC was online as well. Looks like both of our cards do indeed work and that the problem had been the setup. Gee, shocker. Really, it is!
Need to get a memory management utility for my computer. Mass moving/deleting/unzipping files is hell on the memory.
Was going to maybe invite a former LJ person (livininoz) over this sunday (since that is like our mutual day off) but then![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
nofunk81 wanted to hang out (which is a small miracle in of itself) so I will be harassing him instead. Which is ok. Scott made me watch Magic Users Club last weekend. o_x Um... Um... funny, but, er, sick and wrong. Of course, it's Anime, what do you expect, but still. Must see the rest of it now. Cuz it's sick and wrong and stuff. Must see rest of it next time I see him. *nods sagely and stuff*
Damn it! I forgot to bring baggies of snacks for myself today. Graar. I bought baked lays and baked doritos too. To avoid the mistakes of earlier in the week of eating like 3 bags of regular doritos for snacks during work. x_x Not a smart move when you're trying to lose weight.
I've noticed that I tend to avoid exclamation points in my posts. Even if they would be appropriate. I count, what, two in this post so far? Oh, wait, more, there's four... Still, I can see a half dozen or so sentences where an exclamation point would be valid. Well, here, I'll make up for it then.

There. Exclamation points. I avoid them probably for the same reason I avoid caps lock. They remind me of all the online morons (mostly in EverQuest) who cannot type a sentence without either caps lock on the entire time or 27 exclamation points in it. Or both. I mean, I'm glad they found out what that key to the left of the "A" key does and all, and I'm really glad they are coordinated enough to use the "Shift" key and the "1" key at the same time, but still. Restraint, people. Use it.
Ok I'm done being totally random now.
