Characters
Had one of those rare moments last night when I was leaving work. Had a character spring, pretty well fully formed, into my mind. She came out of me noticing the moon through the smattering of clouds and the trees that have mostly lost their leaves outside of the office.
She's a character for Mage: The Ascension. She's between 15 and 17 years old. She's always been considered to be "touched" by those who know her. Daydreaming constantly, drawing pretty pictures in books, talking to her imaginary friends. Her imaginary friends, though, were Spirits.
She is, of course, an Orphan. I thought about the different Traditions and none of them seemed correct. Verbena would be very close, but her magik and belief are of a much more innocent vein than the Verbena's craft could ever be. Her majiks are highly slanted towards divination, although she has a small array of potent majiks to defend herself if need be.
Her primary Spheres are Spirit, Life, and Prime. Her secondary spheres are Time, Entropy, and Forces. She believes that the moon is the source of her powers and the spells she will cast are somewhat dependant on it's phase. During the new moon, she will use her knowledge of Time, Entropy, and Life to glimpse the near futures of those who seek her aid. During the waxing moon, her spells become more energetic. She will create mystical flames that seem to be made of moonlight during the full moon and can use these as weapons if the need arises. During the waning moon, her powers soften and she uses her more benevolent and helpful spells.
She always has a necklace with a crescent moon symbol with her. She usually has several rings and bracelets with moon symbols as well. She uses these as her magikal foci when she cannot see the moon.

It's actually the first White Wolf game I ever ran. My two faves are Mage and Werewolf.
