Monday Babble

Went to bed at around 9 last night. Was incredibly tired. Felt badly about it though, because a friend was having a bad time and I couldn't really do anything aside from nearly pass out at my computer. Hope everything is ok on that end. I'll have to ask him when he gets online.

Woke up this morning and was, well, awake. Got out of bed at around 6:45 and took my shower. Got dressed, checked my email, read my webcomics, ate a fairly large breakfast, packed my lunch, and headed out the door. Despite some traffic issues on US 23 coming in, I still got here at about 8:05 which was pretty good, considering I left at around 7:35. Mind you, I didn't need to be here and punch in until 8:30, but hey, I like being early.

Work has been ok. Nothing particularly stress worthy. It's a payroll week, though, so I expect the call volume to go up shortly as issues arise.

Checked my actual mailbox for a change when I got in. Realized I have coupons for people in there. This upcoming Friday through Monday are "Friends and Family Days" for us. Also known as "Employee Appreciation Weekend" where those of us who work for the company get an even more insane discount than usual. So, I have 5 20% off coupons to distribute and my own hefty discount to abuse this weekend.

Had entirely too much fun playing with Dreamweaver this weekend. Definitely need to use it some more. Had far far far too much fun playing with different colored style sheets. Need to figure out more about that. Me and my bits-and-pieces approach to learning web design and all. :-p Gotta love it.

Was very melancholy/depressy last night as I drove home and when I went to bed. Not sure why, though. I know what I was thinking about and all that, but that doesn't really explain the extreme mood swing. I think it was because I was overtired.

Ok, let's go back to Sunday now. Must write about Sunday. Got out of work, got gas, drove to Monroe to visit Scott and drop off a floppy drive for his PC. Played some Gauntlet Dark Legacy, which is completely crazy with multiple players. Went to Red Robin for lunch. Mmm. Red Robin. Had my usual. Way too much Mountain Dew, Bacon Burger w/ Swiss, Cheese Sticks. Mmm. Cheese Sticks. Went to the Borders in Taylor, used my discount, then proceeded to walk about the mall and checking out some stores. Also did some people watching while there. Wasn't that impressive people watching, though. Now, the guy who rang us up in Borders when we were leaving, that was some damn nice people watching. After that, went back to Scott's apartment and proceeded to try to install the floppy drive on his PC. I think we broke his PC in the process. I hope not. But it wouldn't power on. He swapped a power supply out to get a CD out of the CD drive and it appeared to be booting up at that time. Hmm. Anyway, watched the Powerpuff Girls movie. Hillarious. Must buy it now. Well, maybe this weekend with my discount of doom, but maybe not. Who knows. Well, after that I stuck around for a little bit to watch Scott play with Windows 2000 on his Powerbook (yes, you read that right) and then decided I needed to go home before I either made a total ass of myself or fell asleep, which would also result in the making a total ass of myself. So I went home.

Well, in the hour it has taken me to write this, it has picked up a bit here at work. This is good. Busy is good. As long as it isn't freakishly busy and insane I'll be happy.
