jdotmiSo I've started playing Dark Age of Camelot again. I'm really enjoying myself too. Bought the expansion pack, made me a Necro, and starting destroying the Undead left and right. Nothing says loving like a big ol' undead suckfest.

Ruann got to epic levels!! WooHoo! Ok, there would be a little more "woo" and a little more "hoo" if that was actually, you know, a major accomplishment. Level 15 out of 50 is not a major accomplishment for most. But, hey, games only been out a year and I'm just now getting to 15. I'm already ahead of where I was in EverQuest! I have slightly more encouragement to level in this game than in EQ. Albeit, still sucky on the groupage. I did have an insanely awesome pick-up group last week that made me very happy, but still. I would like to be able to group with, you know, my fellow Wallers once in a while and all that good stuff.
On a non-online-gaming note...
Went and visited my friend Scott (formerly livininoz) on Sunday and let him abuse my big discount for books. Wound up staying WAY TOO LATE. We were chatting about gaming and funny gaming stories. And earlier had discussions about how his roommate's coworkers think they are a couple, to which he says, "This is why I can't get a date," or something to that effect. He must not be looking in the right places. He of all people should not have a problem getting a date. Well, ok yeah avoidance of trolls and all that, but still.
Definitely want to start gaming again. As in table top gaming. One shot games on Thanksgiving not withstanding, I haven't gamed in like 2 years or something. I really really really miss it. Especially after all the fun stories from Sunday night. Maybe I should offer to DM something... I might be able to do that... I know at least I have two people who would be interested.
Still single. I suppose this is not surprising. I go online, and the only people online are just, bleh. I mean, if they aren't desperate or nearly desperate (er, self descriptive much?) then they probably aren't online. I think I've met all of two people online in the last year that are people I would hang out with, much less date. And, of course, I'm too chicken shit to ask anyone out on a date, much less someone who I know and like and would really like to ask out on a date. And anyone who seems interesting enough that I chat with usually wind up being flakes or go "You live with your ex? What?"
Oh well. At least I have my kittens to keep me company.

nofunk81 was wondering why no-one ever posts in his journal. Well, I'm thinking it may be because he only has 4 people on his friends list so far. That would be problematic. Must get him to be more social on here.

How I found your journal is kind of a long story... recently I was reading one of the zillion and a half forums I check while at work - I think it might have been the Drunken Friar board - when I recognized your little manga-style halfling girl icon from another forum I used to read back in the proverbial day, the EQ Traders forums, maybe? And then just a little while later I saw a post from you on Palo.net and I noticed that you had a link to Livejournal so I had to check. (Small, um, internet, I guess.)
So anyway, my name is Rose, I've been playing DAOC on Palomides for over a year, and I think you and I have some things in common. ;) Mind if I add you to my friends list?

Yeah, I used to be quite the regular at EQ Traders. Total tradeskill addict. :-p I'm a mod at Drunken Friar, so that's probably where you saw me. I changed my user icon to the current version of Ruann (in DAoC) since I no longer play EQ that much. The manga-halfling is a drawing one of my guildmates did of Ruann from EverQuest. Halfling Druid.
I've been on Palo (when I've been playing) since launch. I tend to go in phases with my games, but I'm on a streak in DAoC right now.
