Fridays are my only day "off" during the week. So they tend to go by far too quickly and far too little gets done.

Anyrate.

I slept in a little bit on Friday, but not too much. Originally, we had been planning on going to the UofM Dental School because [livejournal.com profile] satyr_mi was having some major tooth pain problems, but they went away on Thursday night, so we decided we didn't have to do that. If you smell an "oops" in that logic, you win a cookie. You'll have to bake it yourself and buy the batter/whatever yourself, but you win a cookie.

We had ourselves a fairly relaxing day. I woke up, fed the kitties, got a bowl of cereal and proceeded to play City of Heroes until my eyes bled. Okay, not literally, but you get the idea. [livejournal.com profile] satyr_mi made noises about maybe going to see a movie ("Stepford Wives" or "Saved" being his recommendations) but I didn't really feel like seeing either of them, so we eventually settled on going out for lunch and going to Borders. Mind you, eating out turned into Red Lobster and Borders turned into a couple CDs, a DVD and a book, but between the nice big employee discount and the DVD being nearly half price, I don't feel too bad about it. Plus, you know, all of our bills for June are paid and I still had a little over two weeks pay sitting in my bank account. Yeah, you read that right. Mind you, if you cut the $900 I got as a tax refund, I'm around one weeks pay, but you get the idea.

We took back "Paycheck" since it was a one-day rental and headed down to Ann Arbor. We went to Red Lobster and ate an amazingly small amount of food compared to our old trips. And I managed to not eat the equivalent of a third world nation in biscuits. So, we ate our meal and wandered over to Borders. Briefly harassed [livejournal.com profile] nofunk81, who was busy training folk, and then wandered around the store looking at stuff. Looked at gaming books, looked at CDs, looked at DVDs, looked at normal books, looked at more CDs, looked at more books... I eventually picked up the extended cut of "Underworld" and the original cast recording of "Wicked". I don't remember what [livejournal.com profile] satyr_mi got... After that was done, we came home and I putzed around online for a little while, then took a nap and headed in to work.

But that counts as Saturday.

I got in to work a little before midnight. Got in, got to work, got my laptop set up and had some water to drink since I forgot to bring change to get a soda with. All in all, it was a fairly un-interesting night at work. I websurfed some, almost watched part of "Underworld", but didn't really want to watch a movie. I did some City of Heroes stuff, read a little bit of my book, and generally was pretty bored.

I got out of work at 8. I met the new guy briefly before leaving. He was way groggy and either I was imagining things or he has abnormally small hands. They were also quite cold, but that could be because he had been outside and it was a little chilly.

Anyrate, I went home and played a little bit of City of Heroes. Fed the cats, got a bowl of cereal, played a bit. Then [livejournal.com profile] satyr_mi woke up.

You know how after you've known someone for a while you can almost immediately know what's wrong the second you see them? Yeah. We're not talking as bad as when his wisdom teeth got all compacted and seriously painful, but still. He's definitely not a happy camper. I hope he's feeling better today.

I stayed up with him on and off. Advil wasn't helping much with the pain and he was a wee bit panicked. We couldn't really take him anywhere to deal with it then, but we semi-planned getting him in to UofM as soon as possible. Unfortunately, that equates to Monday, which would be a day that I really can't take off from work without getting written up for too many unplanned absences. I know that he could do it on his own, although waiting an hour or so after being done there before driving would probably drive him insane.

I slept on and off through the day, watched a little bit of "Awakenings" with him. Tried keeping him calm tmi ), and eventually passed out for a few hours at a time before having to get ready for work.

Of course, work leads us to today (Sunday), so that will just have to wait.
